SACRIFICE.

When I was in the second grade, my parents are already giving me my daily allowance, 20 pesos a day. Sometimes even if I am hungry, I don't use up my money so that I can save money because I want to buy something I really want. I wanted to buy a remote controlled car. It's not really that expensive but I can buy it if I save money everyday. One night, while I was sleeping, my grandmother woke me up because my grandfather collapsed because of his disease. He was confined at the hospital for many weeks and we are beginning to have financial problems. My grandfather is the one fetching us from school. So from then on, my brother and I go to school without a car. One day, my aunt told me and my brother to buy medicine in a nearby pharmacy. She gave my brother the money. But when we were buying the medicine, the money that my aunt gave was not enough. I suddenly remembered the money that I had saved and went back to the hospital to get it. Even though I wanted to cry and have the money back, I just thought that my grandfather is more important that the things that I desire. I learned that SACRIFICE is giving up something you hold dearly for the sake of others.
