CHEATING IS INHUMANITY
As a student, I'm cognizant to cheating. Laziness is one quality that ends up to cheating. For instance, you're lazy to study for a pop quiz so you end up looking at your seatmate's paper. But sometimes students cheat with good intentions. They cheat so they can pass and their parents wouldn't have worry where to get money if they repeat and fail. In other words, poverty can be an agent of cheating. But cheating can be present not only in class but also in our daily lives. It usually happens when we play games. When we think of winning rather than having fun, we'll cheat to win a prize or something.

We all know that cheating has aftereffects. If you're a good cheater, you will pass you test but you can never erase that you committed a sin. If you're not good with cheating, you'll be caught and you have to face the punishment you deserve and your parents will not be proud of you.

How could we resist cheating? It's just simple. First, do your responsibility as a student. Study hard. You will never think of cheating because you know what to do. Second, try your best to be honest. When it comes to games, be a good sport. It might be hard to say the truth but at least you didn't cheat. And always remember, it's better to fail with honor than to win by cheating.

Without Seeing The Dawn.

I was one of the lucky ones who saw the dawn. As a part of my family, I would follow my ancestors' footsteps by giving my guardians respect, affliction and love. For my community, I will help build up peace and harmony in each house. As a student, I already have my priority which is to study and I will stick to it. Lastly, as a part of the country our ancestors saved, the best thing I could do is pray. I pray that my fellow brothers and sisters would choose the right leader that would lead the Philippines to the betterment of its future and I pray that Filipinos will cease doing the wrong deeds and return to the path where righteousness reigns.

Descriptive Writing.

I have been writing paragraphs since I was six. I just write freely as I can. Until I knew of Descriptive Writing. It was then I realized that to enhance a reader's imagination while reading a selection or paragraph, it needs details. I also came up to the thought that even if you think that your paragraph's okay, still it's not. Even if it's a good paragraph, you can still make many corrections out of it. It taught me about run-ons. I was never thought about it in grade school but I'm grateful that I was made known to this in high school. Everything that I've learned about Descriptive Writing made me a better writer than I was before. And I'm also glad that I had applied it to the other paragraphs that I had made before.

Maguindanao Pearls.

For me, the theme of Maguindanao Pearls is simply truth. It also teaches lessons that help readers know their self better. When I read it, I already knew that it was a story that promotes honesty. Maybe love is also there in some events but for me the thing that struck my attention was being true not only to others but also to yourself. Just like Lakambini. In my opinion, she did not do the right thing. She hid the pearls just to accuse Sinag-tala and win Magiting back. She wouldn't have to regret the thought of hiding the pearls when Sinag-tala was killed. Just wonder if she didn't hide the pearls, Sinag-tala would be alive, Lakambini wouldn't have any remorseful memory with Sinag-tala, they can solve the problem if only Lakambini thought right. Just like in our government. If only the government officials would be honest in holding big amounts of money for the project that would be implemented in our society, then we don't have to argue again and again about financial crisis. Our brothers and sisters wouldn't be naked or left alone with no shelter. I hope that this generation would remember this story. It doesn't only apply in the government but also in everything we do. Look how tragic an ending would be if you don't tell the truth. We don't want that to happen to anyone or to us. So start being true to yourself and you can be true to others as well.

SACRIFICE.

When I was in the second grade, my parents are already giving me my daily allowance, 20 pesos a day. Sometimes even if I am hungry, I don't use up my money so that I can save money because I want to buy something I really want. I wanted to buy a remote controlled car. It's not really that expensive but I can buy it if I save money everyday. One night, while I was sleeping, my grandmother woke me up because my grandfather collapsed because of his disease. He was confined at the hospital for many weeks and we are beginning to have financial problems. My grandfather is the one fetching us from school. So from then on, my brother and I go to school without a car. One day, my aunt told me and my brother to buy medicine in a nearby pharmacy. She gave my brother the money. But when we were buying the medicine, the money that my aunt gave was not enough. I suddenly remembered the money that I had saved and went back to the hospital to get it. Even though I wanted to cry and have the money back, I just thought that my grandfather is more important that the things that I desire. I learned that SACRIFICE is giving up something you hold dearly for the sake of others.

WHY DO PEOPLE JUDGE OTHERS?

People sometimes judge others because they don't like that person. Sometimes, they don't look at the inner side of that person. Instead, they just look at the outside. According to some, "Don't judge a book by its cover". Well, that is always true. We can't judge a person according to what we see in the outside. There is more in the inside and it's more important. Last, remember to look back to ourselves first before judging others.

PROBLEMS.

As a student, I encounter problems in my studies. Most of my problems are assignments or projects. Sometimes, I forget some of my assignments when there are so many of them assigned on one day. One time, I forgot my assignment about Dr. Jose Rizal's history. It was Wednesday when that assignment was given. We don't have classes on Thursday and Friday so we had a long weekend. I could barely remember my assignments so I wrote them down in my notebook. I didn't know that I wasn't able to write a reminder for my assignment on Dr. Rizal's history. The next day, I made some of my assignments but I finished early so I did all of them. On Friday, since I have nothing left to do because I thought I finished all of them, I just watched Tv, played and slept. During the weekends, my family visited my grandparents. When Monday came and it was our AP subject, my teacher asked for our assignments. That was when I realized I had non. I almost panicked. But there's nothing I can do so I just told my teacher that I don't have any assignment. I learned a lesson from that mistake and accepted it. From then on, I always write down my assignments in my notebook the moment the teacher announces it. That's one experience I will never forget.
